Custom Data Extracts
You can set up a test to capture custom data. This could be for any number of reasons. A few examples would be:
- Capturing free-form text from a field on the page
- Recording revenue on a confirmation page for further offline analysis
- Saving the number of items per transaction
Assuming this has been set up as part of the test you can go ahead and check that this data is being captured correctly by previewing the test and then performing the action.
Now you can click on the ‘Create Extract’ button in the Optimize dashboard to perform an extract and check data is being captured correctly:
It’s also possible to access Extracts by clicking on the ‘Data Extracts’ link ‘ from the main menu:
The next screen will show an overview of all data extracts and what tests they relate to. The Status, Last Updated, Project and Test columns can be sorted by clicking on the up-down arrows alongside the column name.
If you click on the name of the data extract you can see more details.
Here you can also edit, download or delete the data extract , or run the extract again.
When you have a long list of data extracts, it may be difficult to find an individual one, event by sorting. To search enter details in the search box
